This flow of metal has become one of the symbols of the Gallery. To host the art of this century with its peculiar vision of the artistic universe is the framework of the entrepreneurial aspiration of its director.
At the beginning of the last century, the serious colonial style was imposed as a timeless canon. A good example is the aesthetic that dominates the central part of the Gallery. The house and its contents do not leave anyone indifferent.
In this short period of activity, the García de Diego Gallery has committed itself to projects that are committed to styles, forms and concepts, reflecting on issues that affect society and its form in a global way (expressing thoughts, feelings).
García De Diego Gallery began its activity in 2016, since then it has opted for the most current art. Matías Sánchez, those who know him say of him that he is “good people” inherent condition to the “good artist”, who, at times, has felt misunderstood. He oblivious, these and other vanaglorias responds as a teacher, as he best knows that is “painting”, he “only cares about painting.”
Matías Sánchez, his pictorial concept is part of expressionism, a movement of German origin that aims to expose the pessimistic side of life, existential anguish in the midst of a materialized, technified or industrialized society.
Matías Sánchez, his characters represent the great theater of the human condition; these apparitions of singular beings, unusual, joyful,…
It is an honor for Galería García de Diego to count, from the simplicity of its walls and until next July 20, with the colour, exuberance and presence of Matías Sánchez.
Matías Sánchez surprises us with a series of works with a firm, short and determined layout and the presence of elements that determine and characterize our archipelago “island, mountain, mountain, banana …”
We present some photos of the exhibition and inauguration of the painter Matías Sánchez. One of his works reminds us of the next Transvulcania, that from here we wish luck to all.

García de Diego Gallery is pleased to invite you to the inauguration of the exhibition of the artist MATÍAS SÁNCHEZ that will open this Friday, May 5, at 9:00 pm.
Matías Sánchez was forged as a painter in Seville, where he lives. He is endorsed by multiple individual exhibitions, both national and international. Through a brushstroke, loaded with matter (oil), direct, dynamic, free, pure, expressionist, Sanchez establishes a language proper to his personal experience. The need to create, leads you to seek protagonists anywhere. The themes are variable but certain icons are repeated with symbolic value. The exhibition can be visited until July 21, 2017. Free admission.
A moment of reflection (Carmen and Ana B.). Sensitize the value of the conversation, ancient and contemporary. There are sculptural and artistic proposals that are well located in the public space, however others are not integrated in the environment and this is an important aspect to consider. The Garafía project, after knowing the location, I think it does not respect the place or the environment.

Hugo Pitti with full skill executes religious painting and does it from a sincere vision, offering new airs to some genres that seemed destined to be forgotten.
Oil on canvas 33 x 22 cm.
One of the most characteristic aspects of his painting is the treatment of light with its different graduations of contrasted color touches.
Hugo Pitti mixes different influences and styles to create something new with his own personality.
Hugo Pitti portrays Anne Boleyn, Queen Consort of Henry VIII, considered the most influential and important that England has ever had.
Los Llanos de Aridane once again has the work of the international German artist Albert Oehlen, installed in Calle Real 29 building in the historic center of the city. A work valued between 4 and 6 million euros. It shows a chaotic view of the world, an upside-down approach. Veladuras, fogs, transparencies, try to hide a story; Avoiding any obvious meaning, but always offering their point of view.
Pitti reflects one of his particular “visions” representing a theme, in this case a poem by Maccanti (entitled “Before the eyes of a girl”) that intrigues him while fascinating him. They are scenes with both real and fantastic characters from the world of the subconscious.
We continue with the work of Hugo Pitti, part of his inspiration is based on the lives of the wives of Henry VIII.
One of the greatest contemporary artists; Has traveled the best museums and galleries in the world for some time. For reasons it has been on the island of La Palma and has left us a magnificent masterpiece (mural no. 1, 2006) that after a time collection for its restoration, this week will again be in the Museum On the Street of Los Llanos de Aridane, located in Calle Real 27.

The characters of Pedro Fausto move or suspend in solitary settings and without fixed temporal reference. An innocent work, tender and subtle.

For us it is a pleasure to present the exhibition “Landscape”. This sculpture is formed by two scenes in which the same story unfolds; One is placed in an open box by the two fronts suspended from the ceiling, while the other is inserted freely on a base.
Art must delight and/or teach.
Pedro Fausto is the set of his accomplishments. None of their activities can be separated from one another, nor these from their own life, nor from their surroundings; The same personality and the same conditions make up his work. A product at the service of aesthetic enjoyment in solidarity with the “habitat” even transforming in its beauty more beautiful way of life.
A part of the work of Hugo Pitti is dedicated to the wives of Henry VIII. In the image on the right you can see Catherine Howard and left Catalina de Aragón, both in their very Pittian style.
Passive moments capable of disturbing or delighting. Situations, common environments, essential in the work of the palmero César Rodríguez.
Hugo Pitti introduces these representations in his work, in situations and recognizable moments, in moments not lacking in everyday realities. We are faced with an emotional passage, made by living realism and rich chromaticism, with expressive gestures.
Film of the artistic exhibition of the Galería García de Diego with the works of sculpture of Erwin Heckmann and painting of Pedro Fausto.
In the work of Pedro Fausto the immediate, spontaneous and natural highlights the quality and nobility of its forms.
“I think that Art is done to explore the world and culture, to analyze the chosen medium, to communicate a perception, an observation, an understanding a mental or emotional state, is done for fun and even to study oneself”
“There is nothing more difficult for a truly creative painter than to paint an apple, because he must first forget all those that were never painted”. – Adaptation of Matisse
“Reality is revealed only when it is illuminated by the ray of poetry”. – Georges Braque
We have arrived at the end of the year with five months of existence, with three exhibitions of different artists, and we come to memory many memories related to the exhibitions and works that we have been seeing throughout that time; Or with friends and artists we have met and who we have met, day after day. Some memories will remain indelible because they will become part of us (works of authors admired and valued not only for their content but as objects we love, we get to know and recognize them by small touches of color, humor, their shapes or vibrations .)
We hope and wish that these five months are for everyone, only the first part of a much longer journey.
Happy New Year 2017!
“Some pieces of the production of artists that I especially admire and that I am pleased to extol.” – Ana Brígida.
Meeting in the Gallery with the students of Sagrada Familia Nazaret College.
The sculptures of Erwin Heckmann show an author with a strong ironic, sensitive and demanding personality. In iron, wood and metal has sought and found the materials to express their artistic feelings… He has a clear concern for his profession, dignified and quality.
“It is not necessary to travel to find new pictorial motifs, just simply reflect the different atmospheric effects in the landscape.”
In this line we want to express our gratitude to the artists and the many people who have passed and shared with us, interest and sensitivity for art.
García de Diego Gallery wishes you MERRY CHRISTMAS.
“When there is a subtle and unconscious relationship between man and space, a well-balanced atmosphere is created”
“The suggestion project. The use of the old as material for new works ”
“All doors are memory and matter, transit of everything”
In these sculptures made in iron the maximum intensity is expressed that has to do with time and with the way of seeing things.
To fix a place is not only to locate it according to some horizontal coordinates; to place a place is to specify the vertical of its reflection.
“It combines the characteristic sign of the artist with his ductile and extremely poetic use of space”
The proposals focus on international art, on those special artists who contribute proposals in contemporary art; In its most diverse media, such as photography, installation, painting, sculpture … with a special interest in specific projects carried out expressly for this space, thus achieving a place of reference for the meeting of new representative and unpublished proposals of the last International trends. This is becoming a place of special attention by critics, specialized media and institutions.
