FÁTIMA PEMÁN
Painting makes me grow, it is something spiritual.
The García de Diego Gallery welcomes once again three great artists: Fatima, Julia and Lucía, with an exhibition that shows a synthesis of their work and is entitled Confluences, as the three coincide in their desire to share with all of us their formal and artistic concern, to communicate as they know best, through art, a form of open, universal and proper communication.
Shapes, colors and structures that reflect your personal world, your imaginary, free of “ties” that are justified as an expression of your feelings, emotions or even nothing, because she alone, the painting, is justified.
The art reduced to the “minimum”, a color, a form, a line, in general an artistic gesture whose “rules” belong only to the artist. The artist “lodges” in his own creation.
What, then, would be the role that the viewer would have that faces this artistic universe so personal and without “apparent” correspondences with the “real” world? It could be that of an observer who, driven by intuition, from his own context – personal, cultural, emotional – or intellectual will, and in a totally free act, contemplates the artistic fact, the creation of an artist who, equally free, It seeks to provoke its reaction from different perspectives, all interpretations being valid, all but a passive role, because it is that of the artist, a look that leaves no one indifferent.
