PAINTER

Painter, sculptor, photographer and draftsman, realizes installations, performance, theater performances and stage designs. In Cologne, he studies Philosophy, Art History, Archeology and Fine Arts at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf with Schiff and Callahan. In 1992 he began his exhibition activity in Wuppertal, followed by exhibitions in Trier (FRG), Rome (Italy), Perth (Australia), Winterthur (Switzerland), Altaussee (Austria), La Palma (Spain), Berlin (Germany), Saint Petersburg (Russia).

Kiesewetter’s work not only appeals to the sense of sight, but also deeper experiences of the sense of touch. His entire artistic practice can be understood as a contribution against the gradual disappearance of the individual in modern times.
