HERMANN SCHWAHN (1927 – 2003) was a very versatile artist who left an impressive body of work in his nearly 50 years of freelance work. After studying at the Stuttgart Academy od Arts, he settled in Hohenstaufen über Göppingen.
Schwahn worked as a draftsman and painter, his images ranged from precise realism to free abstraction. Last but not least, in addition to his large public commissions, he also repeatedly created small sculptures like these loving depictions of animals.
