HERMANN SCHWAHN
I want my art to get closer to the sensation it represents of life, savoring it, exploring it and implementing it.
Hermann Schwahn was a multifaceted artist who as a draftsman, painter and sculptor, alternated between realistic and abstract representations. Among his sculptures of animals, of a more archetypal nature, are representations of goats, donkeys, bulls and cows. The most famous, however, are probably his depictions of horses with the special feature of a long, slender and stylized horse neck. Hermann Schwahn died in 2003 and is buried in the Hohenstaufen Cemetery.
