JULIA RÜTHER, Wuppertal, Germany (1974), Graduate of the Düsseldorf Academy of Arts (with Peter Doig and Albert Oehlen) and Visual Communication from the University of Wuppertal.
The gallery has a limited number of her works, where they are part of the collective exhibition entitled “Confluences”.
The artist’s training within the domain of technique and the conservation of works of art has been her inspiration for her current artistic interest. The careful and detailed study of works of art has become her fascination (ornaments and decorating techniques).
Despite the minimalist influence in which we live, the use of decoration is still a symbol of taste, the ornament is the result of the need for art.
The different materials (oil, tempera paint and resin oil) and techniques used by Julia, are integrated in a dynamic way in the composition of her abstract works.
