“The painting should lead to the mental state of silence and quiet that propitiate an intimate and bright dialogue with the same”.
Educated at the Art school of La Palma and licensed at the University of the Fine Arts of Tenerife, Pedro Fausto has become a reference of current painting in La Palma, excelling as an excellent painter of everyday environments, the ambit in which his life develops. Pedro belongs to a class of painters that preach with their work, the language of art is art itself; wisdom as well as humility, loaded with symbolism, colour, shapes and textures where all the elements are displaying a harmonious universe, expressive and particular which accentuates him as a proven master.
This artist converts his oil-paintings in realistic, naturalistic and impressionistic creations, where his knowledge and personal contributions make him recognizable in every time and circumstance as this exposition presents with the title “Vivencias” (“Life Lesson”).

“With the sculptures I express my sentiments including the ones hidden in my inner life”.
Born in Germany, where he studied at the Art Academy of Düsseldorf under Joseph Beuys and Gerhard Richter. Erwin moved in 1997 to the island of La Palma where he realized part of his artwork; sculptures, graphics, etchings and installations, which have been internationally exhibited (Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Yugoslavia, USA and Mexico among others).
Erwin Heckmann started his work in scrap-yards; for early works using materials that were derelict agricultural items and later more industrial components, generally from iron and metal, classifying and selecting the pieces, and composed his sculptures with overflowing imagination; which he called “the secret concensus of things”.
Kinetic sculptures were born (driven by wind, electricity or human force) as well as static sculptures; with his own words “his iron period”.
With the title “Objet Trouvé” the Galería García de Diego testifies to the last period of his life.
